We didn't see any other kids outside

This is a phrase Pappa says to me quite frequently these day. You see it's either below freezing or extremely windy or both. However, these wintery conditions don't stop my husband from taking the girl outside to play. She, of course, loves it. I gues it's the Scandanavian blood. Plus, I don't see many two year olds as bundled as the girl.

No longer an only child

After 32+ years, I lost my status as an only child. My mom got remarried yesterday to a wonderful man, who has four children. Granted, we're all fully grown and everybody can support themselves. Still, it will take a little getting used.

We're back!

We are back from an almost two month hiatus. Several things kept us away for awhile. First, while the boy made a comeback from the RSV, the virus make him more susceptible to other respiratory infections. The latest one started lat week. Second, mommy has found that she can be more productive if she doesn't spend all day on the computer. Yes, pictures are finally going up in our house. Mommy also tries to exercise more and obesses about her step count. The current record streak is 14 days in a row with at least 10,000 steps. So far, all that moving helped drop 9 pounds!
